Department of Physical Education

The Department of Sport Sciences at Lorestan University commenced its activities in 2011 with the admission of students in the Bachelor of Physical Education program. Subsequently, and with the necessary authorizations, student admissions in both Master's and PhD programs were also initiated in 2012. Currently, considering the admission of students in all three levels—Bachelor's, Master's (including three specializations: Exercise and Health Physiology, Applied Exercise Physiology, and Exercise Physiology and Nutrition), and PhD (specialization in Exercise Physiology)—the Department of Sport Sciences at Lorestan University has approximately 300 sport science students in two sections: Iranian and international students. Furthermore, given that the general physical education and sports courses at Lorestan University are offered by the Department of Sport Sciences, this department also accommodates over 1000 students in general courses at the Bachelor's level each semester.

The number of faculty members employed in the Department of Sport Sciences includes 14 individuals, comprising one professor, three associate professors, nine assistant professors, and one instructor.
