Department of Persian Language and Literature

The Department of Persian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, Lorestan University, is one of the most established academic departments at Lorestan University.

Currently, the Department of Persian Language and Literature admits students at all three levels: Bachelor's, Master's (including three specializations: Pure Literature, Resistance Literature, and Folklore Literature), and also Ph.D. (including two specializations: Pure Literature, and Mystical Literature).

The Department of Persian Language and Literature at Lorestan University has approximately 300 students enrolled. In addition, given that the general Persian language course at Lorestan University is offered by the Department of Persian Language and Literature for other faculties and academic departments, this department also hosts over 700 students of general courses in the undergraduate program each semester.

The number of faculty members employed in the Department of Persian Language and Literature includes 12 individuals, with five professors, four associate professors, and three assistant professors currently serving.
